Notre Dame Law School Article on Tim Connors
Tim Connors has
over 20 years of experience in national defense, counter
terrorism and homeland security. He graduated from West
Point in 1988 and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant of
Infantry. He has served as a platoon leader, company and
battalion executive officer, company commander, and on
battalion and brigade staffs. He is currently a Lieutenant
Colonel serving in the Army Reserve. While practicing
business law in Syracuse, New York, he deployed as a civil
affairs officer to Konar Province, Afghanistan, where he led
a team in support of B Company, 20th Special Forces Group.
After returning home from Afghanistan, he joined the
Manhattan Institute, a New York City think tank, where he
provided consulting and education services to state and
local police agencies on counter terrorism, intelligence and
homeland security issues. He has developed best practices
papers on
intelligence fusion centers,
local counter terrorism strategies, and
intelligence led policing. He has also appeared on
television and radio, and participated in a number of public
speaking events. Tim holds a masters degree in business and
a law degree from the University of Notre Dame.

Clint Watts

Clint Watts has 13 years of experience
serving in military and law enforcement organizations around
the country. He graduated from West Point in 1995 and served
as an Infantry platoon leader in the 101st Airborne
Division, a staff officer in Korea, and an Infantry company
commander in the 3rd Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division. After
departing the military, Clint became a FBI Special Agent on
the Joint Terrorism Task Force in Portland, Oregon. He
transitioned to graduate school in 2004 attending the
Monterey Institute of International Studies earning a
masters degree in International Policy Studies focusing on
international security and development. Upon completion of
his degree, he took up duties as the Executive Officer for
the
Combating Terrorism Center
at West Point (CTC). In
addition to teaching cadets, Clint acted as the Program
Manager for the FBI-CTC Collaborative designing counter
terrorism curricula and training for Joint Terrorism Task
Forces and the FBI Academy. Additionally, he served as the
Program Manager for the
Harmony Project conducting primary research on al-Qa'ida's
internal documents captured on the battlefields of
Afghanistan and Iraq.
